Im supposed to be having a viewing on my car on friday evening from someone who sounds very interested. Only the water temp has started to get increasingly hot in short periods of time, I think ive found a crack in one of the coolant pipes near the temp sensor. Reckon I could amateur bodge it?

You could, or you can tell the fella that there is a crack in one of the coolant pipes.

What he said. Find out for sure what the problem is first, then think about your options.

Just tell him about it & offer to have the damaged pipe replaced before he picks it up if he's buying it!!
I dont really see how a cracked water pipe would make it heat up though, unless you mean its losing water & causing to heat up

I think thats what he means Colin, otherwise it isn't that part But still, if you cannot find the problem, at least tell the bloke. There is nothing worse then buying a car that has problems that you don't even know about.

I think its because its right next to the sensor.
Duct tape didnt do much for me, confirmed its got a hole though.

But its still losing water mate. I know most people on here will say bodge it and good luck to the guy but I would rather tell him about it and give advice how to fix it. As I know how it feels to buy a car without the person telling you that it has a problem.

Wouldn't losing pressure be more of an issue?
I'd just change the hose and have done with it....nice clean fluid in there too

Il go down peugeot tomorrow and see how much they are. Through the roof knowing them. Would pressure cause the temp issue?
