Both superb goals but meeting the ball on the volley coming down the way that far out and rattling it in off the bar is superb

Personally I think Drogas is better. Through out the season you will see a number of players hit balls like that from outside the area where it comes out after a corner.
I would say Van Persies goal against Charlton took more skill than both of those IMO as the ball was not dropping for a nice strike. To hit over the ball at that height is impressive

Van Persie's came off his shin. Good goal, but definately element of luck there. Drogba for me was hit and hope, plus it bounced giving him more time to aim and get ready to shoot. Scholes had no time to think, he just hit it, crashed it off the bar, and in. There was no backlift or anything in the kick, simply just swung his leg forward and connected.

so what your saying is they are all just hit and hopes - which is the honest truth. I would say a high % of the 'good' goals we are actual just luck goals i.e. essiens, I bet give him another 20 shots and all would not be in that 1 small gap he hit to make it into the corner

scholes not question about it... but the best goal of the season so far (for me) is Michael Essien - to power and curl get got on it and how he hit it on the run...

You can't ignore the genius of Scholes because he's done it before! IMO that makes it better.

I'm not Nathan.. but you tend to think "fook me what a goal" more when it comes from someone you dont recognise to do that. Scholes was awesome.. Off the bar made it better (as always) but as above most people can hit that same shot 20times and it go well wide
Merry xmas xx
