when does the student loan come through so you can actually use it. if i got loan inbank the first day i am bk at college which i think is the 3rd jan then can i start using the money on that day.

Er, when you have money in your account, you can spend it.

That's how my bank account works anyway, yours might be different

Not always iirc, if you pay a cheque in it will show up on your balance. But you can't withdraw it till its cleared even though its showing on your balance

My student loan was paid via BACS. So, when it appeared online (even highlighted as a new transaction) you could use it.

i am but it automatically goes in to bank. Like the first time i got the loan for first term it automatically got put in but had to wait the 4-7 days to actually take money out. Just wondering would it b place in me bank so i can use the day i go back to college.

dont ever rely on the schedule, every1 i know has touble, luckily i dont hav to hav one as i am very well supported by my dad

i would be one of the people who wastes it all on drink, spent about 4k last year on eating and going out and buying a few new hockey and cricket things
