I've got to go from South of Spain visitng my mate up to the North to check out where Im gonna go to uni next year, but you have to stop off at Madrid in the middle en route, the flight ive found only had 45 minute wait at madrid which doesnt seem like much time for the usual getting your bag then checking in again, so is it a different procedure for connecting flights? Do they just move your luggage from plane to plane and all you got to do is go to the next boarding gate? Im travelling on my own so don't really fancy getting stuck miles away from home with no clothes or essentials

On connecting flights they move your baggage for you, so long as they know when checking in that your going to be stopping off to connect.

Cool, the flight is advertised on the spanair website including the stop off, so i guess it should be ok. There was one with Ibera with 2 hours between which i wanted, but you cant use switch, and if you use credit card you have to show the card you used when you booked when you check in which is so annoying, means people without their own credit cards cant fly at all with iberia

We had a nightmare in Atlanta catching a connecting flight to Orlando. I was close to having to wait 10 hours through the night on my own seperate from my 5 mates. This was due to cancellations and delays of previous flights.
Possibly a one off but I'm never getting a connecting flight with a short timescale again!
They will sort your baggage for you. Which is an advantage is most cases but I could have been stuck with my luggage on my connecting flight and me at the airport!
Note to all- dont ever get a connecting flight from Atlanta with Delta Airlines!

Its to stop fraud i think. my mums card got cloned and someone bought flights to dublin with it and the airline couldn't tell us the name it was booked under due to date protection act bollocks.

My sister is going to Spain on Tuesday..
Blackpool to Stanstead then stanstead to victoria i think it is in Spain... But i think she has to collect her luggage first and then check in with again...
But she has a 2-3 hour wait in between, I think you just go to interconnecting flights? I think there should be an option...
If not all you have to do is ask
