Well, I knew that cacti stored water in their leaves, and i watered mine earlier - I was just checking on it and one of the leaves snapped off by accident, then i saw a liquid coming out of the bottom. In my infinite wisdom, i thought "hmm, that must be water, I wonder what it's like?" and proceeded to put the end of the leaf in my mouth and chew it a bit. and OH MY GOD it was the most disgusting thing ive ever tasted, ever!! (including having to brush my teeth with washing up liquid for swearing when i was younger ) I ran upstairs and washed my mouth out with water, drank about 2 pints and i can still taste it Just thought I'd share that with you to provide some evening entertainment Moral of the story, don't eat cacti.
