Been trying to put in a passport application for over a week. Firstly they said i need the long birth certificate so paid £7 and got that. Today i went back and the badgers said i need to get the certificate stamped by a solicitor Just phoned me mum to see if her solicitor will do it. It's so annoying! Why couldn't they have just used my original standard birt certificate, driving licence and me mums birth certificate? They asked for my mums certificate too as i was born after 1982. ffs, i'm 24

And i'm fed up of getting searched for "sharp objects" when i go into the office too

And having to walk fucking miles because i can't park outside

It takes the piss! If me mum can't get it signed then i give up. Spent all week trying to sort it out Got loads of uni work to do and proper knackered from walking

Do you not have your old passport? I managed to get a new passport with a photocopy of my old one, drivers licence and the form counter signed last year. I got two forms signed - long story - and accidently gave them the wrong photos with the wrong counter signigture on it and the still processed the application. Got the passport a week later
