Mechanical and electrical engineers have an even less thankful task than architects these days....

In the near future we will see buildings going against building regs, and being assessed via BREEAM..thats bloody hoooooorendous for M&E engineers to prove/design.

I guess the bottom line is that buildings these days are designed with environmental impact first and aesthetics second...god help the 7 year degree architect that thinks he/she can have much input into a building design these days

Erm its a level 3 BTEC national certificate. Its 2yrs at college and uni or whatever once we're finished.

Surprising actually with education, is how much of the time you dedicate to it is actually constructive. I'm doing a degree in motorsport engineering, currently in my second year, and I have to say the first year was a complete waste of time for me! Didnt learn anything new or useful (at uni) and none of my grades counted towards my degree so...waste of time!
