right it all started a few days ago my engine management light came on and it started idiling funny so took it to vauxhall and a local garage but they cant diagnos it. they plugged it in but it wont connect to the car. so drove it home and now it wont start at all any help would be grate. ta in advance. cheers

my car war originaly a 1.0 but i had the 1.4 put in mate think it was out of a s reg.

they wont have been able to read it as they diagnostic plug wont be wired in. need to get that done 1st and then do the paperclip test:

you dont necessarily have to wire in the diag port, just need to connect 2 wires together to flash up the fault codes, cant remember which ones ath the moment, its brown/yellow and one other cant think of which one though! will find out tomorrow if you need me to?
