I've found a couple of nice Supertouring Vectras that I may view tomorrow. I just wondered what the spec difference was from 'normal' Vectras? Anything I should be looking out for imparticular? Cheers

Hmm, might need to look into the V6 instead then, cheers. I'll only have it for a year for a bit of fun, so I want something quick, reliable and good looking, without breaking the bank on the car, the insurance and maintenance! If you can think of any alternatives for under 2k, let me know!

maybe not go for a veccy st then.
v6 sri's arent as desireable, but same engine etc.
then just slap a gsi bumper on it.
st's i guess will generally be more expensive as they were limited editions

Different front bumper (not gsi one)
Some have sideskirts
Carbon fibre goodies inside
Higher spec brakes i'm sure aswell..
Limited edition only 500 made..
There will be more differences though, ask on VVOC
I had a V6 Sri and it was loved the V6 engine

Mav, you're thinking about the ST200 with the carbon bits.
The Supertouring had a plaque, some white wheels and a colour coded front/rear bumper, front was the same as the phase 1 gsi.

Vectra GSi and Super Touring
Vauxhall's motorsport department (MSD) produced a high performance version of Vectra called Vectra Super Touring. 2.5 V6 tuned to output 195hp and 184lbft, accompany with racing-style spoilers, stiffened suspensions, AP racing brakes and grippy tyres.
But the Super Touring is very limited in production. Therefore, Vauxhall also markets a production version, Vectra GSi. It gets the same treatment, except that the aggressive spoilers and racing brakes were discarded. When compare face to face with the class-leading Mondeo ST24, Autocar found the Vectra has even better handling, better body control, crisper chassis response, better grip while sacrifice little riding comfort.
Amazingly, the British-tuned GSi completely refresh our memory of its boring German-developed origin. We cannot understand how the German made the highly-specified suspensions so incapable, nor we understand how the British managed to reverse this. This may be GM's response against Ford Contour SVT.
After all, the Vauxhall just produces 1,000 GSi annually, and worse of all, it is for sold exclusively in UK under Vauxhall's brand. The rest of the world can only hope Opel to apply the same treatment in the future.
super toring has carbon bits I'm sure, that one I posted from ebay does I'm sure so did a few others.

I loved my old ST! I will own another some day, awesome cars. Mine was the V6. The 2l's will be ok, but pay the extra and get a V6
Basically a special edition of the SRi. Outside: 16" Irmscher wheels, Irmscher twin oval back box (mild steel), Irmscher early spec front bumper (as per early GSis), Irmscher rear spoiler, DTM 'flash' badges, painted rear bumper, some had Irmscher suspension (shocks and springs). Inside: early SRi seats (non-recaro), Irmscher carbon look steering wheel, coin tray and gear knob, plague on ash tray with 'SuperTouring' and build number. Lovely cars, too cheap for how rare they are.

BTW Robin, Not all ST's are white (not even all ST200's were white neither)
There is currently a black ST for sale on VVoc and a white ST200:

Its cheap that ST200 on VVOC. £11ks worth of extra's over the normal ST and he only wants £4.5k for it. Bargain!
