head studs are good but worth noting it makes taking off the head a pain in the arse. Can't remember the exact details but its due to the inlet manifold not having room to come off. The only way to resolve this is to drop an engine mount then remove it.
Not a massive hassle, but more hassle when it comes to head removal.

this is correct, you will have to drop the two front mjounts as i did to get the head on and off, but the stud conversion is defo worth it. you defo wont be stripping any threads with those on!
its up to you though. you also wont need to spend £20-30 everytime the head comes off

You going to do it yourself? a headgasket kit is roughly £70-80. Cambelt - £20 + labour if your not going to do it yourself.

few people have said that i don't really see it as bad luck as nothing has gone wrong with the engine before, the pod incident was my fault i guess. But i guess its wahat you expect when you put another engine in can happen to anyone really.

I had alot of work done on my engine, but still got bummed by the two cunting bolts at the front of the block stripping.
