Got all my parts together for my pc build and have came to a point of fitting the CPU and Heatsink, the heatsink came with pre applied paste but a tiny bit the size of nail head has come off it, will this be a problem?

clean it all off, go to a loacal PC place and buy some paste, Silvertherm or something its called

got advice on a computer building board that said its alrite to go ahead so i have, was gonna test the system seeing as everythings there but have realised theres no monitor port on the motherboard so have to wait til i get a graphics card before i can test  well dissapointed

if your going to install a heatsink I would advise doing as Topshot said and putting some decent paste on there. Otherwise it really wont be as good as it should.
