Would i be correct in saying these are a torsion bar at the rear? ive never seen a torsion bar before so have no clue how they work. Any idea how you would lower the rear of a 206?

Get onto your Pug GTI websites they will have guides. Not hard from what ive heard just a bit of a bastard if your bolts/bars have seized.

Yeah, it's torsion bar.
Here's the guides for the 205 and the 306; the 206 can't be too different. You could always check the PSOOC (or similar) forum to make sure.
