The box ed as afaik works on any common rail engine.

Since steve hasn't had one and doesn't seem to know what he's talking about, if there is anybody left that does pay any attention to him, i'd just ignore him.

There is also the fact that upping the boost on a diesel engine doesn't increase the power. It just brings the torque lower down in the rev range. You can significantly up the fueling to get power gains without touching to boost due to diesel being low a octane fuel and igniting just by compression. However Steve wouldn't know that because he probably thinks petrol engines are the same as diesel, they just use different fuel.

no ed, i do know how a diesel engine works, like you say all you can do is increase the fueling, but only by a small amount before the ecu throws a wobbly, upping the boost does not bring the torque lower down in the rev range, it just gives you more power when the boost peaks, the peak isnt altered, and remap can also enable the boost to be held for longer

im not saying the box is utter crap, im saying you will get a lot more from a remap
