anyone know where i can get a thick wooden shelf? gotte be a bit under a metre long, around 25cm width. black as well!

guess i could just paint any though. gotta be tough enough to hold a 10kg lcd tv

IKEA probably does them. Or most other DIY places probably will too (MFI, B&Q, that type)

go to travis perkins/jewsons, buy a bit of wood, cut, sand and smooth etc an paint. Shouldnt cost more than £20

depends what you want. If you want a floating shelf then it will include all the brackets, etc.

If you want just a standard shelf with legs then go and buy some support legs in a DIY store, and then buy a piece of wood and paint it black.

I got a floating one from Homebase, its probably about the right measurements you need too. Think it was about £40 with all the brackets all included.

They look smart IMO, and there only about £15
