Hey i posted this in the wrong section before (i think) Got a 1.4 corsa sport with 98k on the clock 1996 model (pre power steering) and they is a rattle when cold comming from left side of engine. look and some sort of pulley/shaft mechanism is wobbling really bad. Have been told its the auxilary drive bearing? Common problem? Expensive to do?

get it looked at asap. Make sure it is that making the noise not the cambelt rollers or waterpump

Yeh, my advice is not to hang about to getting that seen to. Those engines can make quite a mess if anything snaps!

yeah sounds like waterpump get it fixed now and should be around just under 200 it goes and your looking at full rebuild or new engine
