Easy to fix those dash lights i think, i had same problem, then realised that the bit to the right of the wheel where you turn your lights on, theres a disc mounted on a pararallel (spelling) that you can adjust how bright the lights are, chances are that the small white plate that is mounted behind it, which allows the contact to recognise what position it is in, is broken.

Go to the scrappy and get a new one and change it, and you should be OK, less things for people to use as a bargaining tool then.

hi, yes this button is broke, i really dont have the time to fix it and dont wish to throw anymore money at it, hence the price for the small faults.
