Just started fitting my manifold. I have taken the vacum thing off (not sure what it's called). Theres a thin pipe that runs from the manifold to a sensor next to the battery, and then runs from the sensor to a inlet hose, that comes on my lexmaul. What do i do with it? Do i block it off, or just leave it. Can't explain it very well, i needs pictures really but i can't find my USB lead .

Ok, The pipe starts here.
It's connected to this sensor plug, with 2 other green and yellow tubes.
And then connects to this inlet hose running off my inlet.

Nope, didn't block it up, Just pulled it out. It will run fine

No problem bud. If you don't mind, take some pics after it's fitted as i'm getting one and want to see how low they sit
Where does the manifold end? does connect straight to the cat?

Its the air injection valve on the exhaust manifold there.

Yeah it connects directly into the cat. Am i ok just to disconnect the air con pipes, where the air injection valve is, as it will make the job 10 times easier.

It's all fitted now. However, i am geting some major blowing from the manifold at the block end. I used the gasket from a c16xe due to them not having the air pump, and that should blank the hole off, but it still seems to be blowing from there. Is it worth taking it off, and re-positioning the gasket? Or do i need something esle to blank it?

Didn't you get a gasket with the exhuast manifold?
Did you make sure you got all the old gasket off the head before you fitted the new one?

Nope didn't get one with it.
Yeah i got all the parts of the old gasket old, and cleaned it with a with a wire brush to make sure the gasket was flush.

pics of the manifold
mine blowed like fuck as i used the manifold on a c16xe, so it had the provision for the air pump etc which mine didnt have
so it was blowing out the hole foe the SAP, and doing fuck all, so i welded the air track up that runs along the flange

It shouldn't blow from the hole if you've got the silver valve thing there.
if it's blowing from the block, you need a new gasket, which will cost you about £3.

It's blowing from here:
From where the air pump was. Gasket was brand new. If i replace it again, what are the chances it will stop the blowing?

It won't stop blowing, the gasket doesn't stop it, the C and X gaskets are the same.
Put the silver thing back in with no pipes on it.
