washers sound just as dodgy to me, i will get some proper spacers made at work it literally looks like a wheel spacer has been snapped, and the bits used as individual spacers....

i could never fit brakes i didnt trust, ie: bits of wheel spacers used as caliper mounts!

they're not used AS caliper mounts, they're between the standard caliper mount and the steering knuckle, to move the caliper out enough to centralise the disc. once the bolts are done up tightly its fine

Washers are as good as spacers when the bolts are done up, Formula Renault cars have washers for spacers, so a Fiesta will be fine

any what for sale? i MIGHT be selling my front brake setup as i want to upgrade to focus st170 spec, but i havent found any for sale yet. also, with you being FAIRLY local, you could try a wheel over my brakes, make sure they clear etc?
