I just had some new tyres fitted and I got the guys to look at my exhaust.

They showed me when it was up on the ramps, basically it could do with the whole thing replacing. They quoted me £333 for the whole system (standard) fitted.

Is this a good price? Could I get stainless steel system for this price?

What do you mean by the whole thing?

From the catalytic converter back, or manifold etc as well?

Are you sure thats not just the heatshield? Mine looks terrible, but the manifold underneath it is fine.

£120.22 for Cat, middle and rear box, manifold and downpipe is about £30.

It was an independent tyre and exhaust place, they are very good and gave me a VERY good price on my tyres.

They're trying to make up for that with this then

Try somewhere else, seems like they're trying to pull a fast one.

Full stainless system would cost less than £333.

gave you a v good price on tyres then rip you off with exhaust.... they have to balance the books somewhere
