Complete cock Coppell, even Reading fans are pissed off with him fielding under strength teams in cups, ok Premiership is priority but people want to see their team doing well in everything, just imagine if they had fielded the full strength team against Man Utd in the FA Cup, it could be them in the final.
Coppell is gay, and £200 million? 
Madjeski doesn't even have that amount.

Can sort of see his point, thinking about the long term future of the club, it would be very easy for them to be succesful very quickly and fall straight back down.
I would be pissed though.

i agree, i can see reading staying in the prem for a good few years, especially with that type of investment
hes not got to big for his boots and hes looking long term, which can only be good for the club

That as maybe, but by god, how is that for a lack of ambition and faith in your players?!
If they earn the right to play in europe then at least honour that, don't insult the players, the competition and the fans by fielding a team of reserves!

I suspect tho most fans would rather they go out of the uefa cup and stay in the prem rather than get relegated and languish in the champ for 3/4 years tho 
And workign with hundreds of reading fans i can confirm that is true!!!

I understand that Robbo but do you not think that if you are good enough to get into these competitions you should try your hardest to succeed?
If not then why bother? Why have ambition?
It's highly unlikely that they will get very far in the UEFA cup, but at least give it a shot

Look at West Ham this season aswell as Ipswich, and Millwall
. And Reading did ok in the FA Cup and he fielded 'the reserves'.
What hes done is quite remarkable so who are we to argue

We beat Inter Milan at Portman Road 4 seasons ago in the Uefa Cup. Alun Armstrong, glancing header.

Your a fan of a club and you have just reached the Uefa cup, an amazing achievement, and he says fuck that i'll play my reserves the premiership is more important.
What have your fans got to aspire to, mid table mediocrity? you make it you spend some money on your squad and you go for it, some teams make it and some teams fall by the wayside but at least you tried.
