I want to smooth my passenger door.is it just the case of takin the handle out the fibre glassing it

Better off welding a plate in there rather than just fibreglassing it.

rip trim off the plastic fibre glass it, then use polyfiller after youve half decently smoothed fibre glass then putty to fill in the little cracks, but it aint that easy with work its taken me about a month to get mine to putty stage as im lazy, but looking good.

It might sink or crack unless its welded up. Especially on a door where its being slammed all the time.
Also you will need some kind of popper with an outside switch so that the door can be opened from the outside. Without this the car might fail its MOT
