first of all, do you mean the PS3? i didn't know you could make the PS2 wireless
secondly, if you do mean the PS3 you can connect straight to your router wirelessly instead of through the laptop, this means that you won't need the laptop on when you want to play online on the PS3. i'm at work now so i can't tell you exactly how to do it though i'm afraid

No i mean the PS2 u can wire it up through a laptop (mine has wireless) u share the connection with it

no hes meens using internet connection sharring on his laptop, and plugging his ps2 into the spare ethenet port.

nope not on ps2, use this method through my 360 though (well wireless bridge) same type of thing though.
