I know this isnt really vauxhall/corsa related but a few on here have probably owned a 306 before.
Viewing one today, just wanted to know if there are any areas specific to a 306 that I would have a check over that tend to cause problems. Thanks

what model? just check the usual like any other car. make sure all the electrics work and if its a GTi-6/Rallye make sure the cambelt, tensioners and waterpump have been changed

diesel models - central locking and heater matrix i'd look out for, check fro damp in the passenger footwell
i know of 3 306 diesels with this problem

As said check the electrics, the windows often pack in due to door looms being tight, quite an easy fix though. I'd also check for any knocking when reversing stuff like that as its common for the front suspension components to need replacing, stuff like drop links etc, see if there is any receipts in regards to these could be a good shout.
Don't be worried if it has a heavy clutch as most 306's do.
