I have decided to get rid of the side strips on my car, its a post 97 model so it has the oval shape side strips.
The problem being is that when i de-badged the tailgate its left like a shadow of where the letters used to be, ive used compound and t-cut to try and get it off but no luck.
It isn't as noticeable now that i have cleaned the car alot since but its still there if you look.

Im worried that if i take off the side strips there will be the shadow like mark left there again.

Is there anyway around this or anything i could use?

Thanks

i took my rear badges off but left side strips looks so much better as for the outline if u get the glue off with a hot kettle it shrinks then scrape it off with a credit card worked a treat on mine then buff it up.

some people say cause the paints been covered its kinda a bit newer so over a few weeks it fades down.

but kettle well recomended for glue hope tht helps

They will come off but not by hand, you will need a buffer.
