how can you find out the identity from the engine number?

not a number like x12xe or 20seh but the long ones to find out the type like x12xe etc...

yeh ive found it matey, but how can i use it to find out the exact model of engine

3 different powers for mine.

surely with the reg plate / engine code and the internet you can find that out

code may be the same

power difference will be down to the inlet and/or ecu revision...

no you see im putting a new engine in but the small codes worn away cosa rust
