hi i currently have a jbl gt4 12'' sub and a inphase ipa900 amp 2channel thinks its 1200watt i had this fitted in my last corsa and i thought they were crap sounding. think it was moslty down to the sub?? wot do you guys recomend to buy?looking for a 12'' or maybe a 15'' sub allready boxed.

I'm very impressed with my 12" JL audio sub. Is being powered by Alpine V12 amp. Focal are pretty impressive. Depends what your budget is

what power do you have to play with, do you want a sealed or ported box, what type of music will it be used for, are you more interested in quality or volume or a compromise of both

the amp i have is a 1200watt 2channel inphase amp.would rather a sealed box.would be mostly playing dane/hip hop,gotta be quality

okay you have 350W bridged to play with so i would go for

The reason why your jbl sub will sound crap is because you have a load of power and a generic box which is made to dimensions. If you get a box made to suit your sub, power, music type like as said above i bet it will sound an great deal better
