hi there woundered if anyone could help?

my engine management light has come on and wen i start the car my revs just drop and the car dies?

dont have a clue what to do please help

by the sound of it, sounds like your engne timing might be out. what engine is it? take it to ur vauxhall dealer and get them to do a diagnostic. costs around 40 quid but they will tell what the fault is and how much it will cost to repair.

on the corsa its with the fuses in the drivers footwell. pull the cover off and its there.

just a thot this happened to my old blue 1.6 16v sport, turned out it was the Map sensor, well actually it was a broken wire to the Map sensor, quite a common problem because the wiring loom is short and easily caught wen under the bonnet

Sounds like Air flow meter as a first guess.

Just do the paperclip test and read off the codes.

tried the paper clip test and nothing happend :S found out a naighbour of mine has one of those computers and im gonna get him to put it on that!
