For gaming and very light graphics work.
at the moment i have an Nvidia 6600 and its pish...its not even the GT. i have to play COD2 at 800x600 to maintain any smoothness in the game.

If your after sticking to Nvidia then go for the GeForce 7950 GT, around £115 ish.
If your thinking of ATi then its only worth going for the X1950XT, but thats a little more expensive at £140ish.

And if you want Directx 10 then go for the GeForce8600 GTS, about £135.
Nah, going by what Ive read on various reviews lately. Getting a GeForce 8800 series card soon though
