Don't think the gains are great as standard 8-valve is 100bhp and 16v 109bhp. But the C16XE should never be left standard, it was made for throttle bodies

i have found one with the conversion already carried out mate. just waiting for the seller to get back in touch about going to see the car now

its off the road though and what ive read sounds a bit basic, needs a wheel bearing but that is nothing

the C16XE is roughly the same power as the C16SE only because of the stupid inlet change that crap out and you should be looking at a nice light weight high revving 16v engine with around 120-125bhp

yep fitted one in mine when the 8v went bang, very easy to do

i might know some one who has one of these. i sold them the engine about 3-4 years ago which was out of my gsi, he put the engine in and it runs but no to good. needs some tlc and a bit of knowledge. think the problem is the wiring. its been sat in his garage since the engine was put in. i will try and get some more info and see if he wants to part with it.
