basically there is an astra coupe parked near my work, got a set of wolfrace alloys on it and tints and it seems to be abandoned. It hasnt moved in months, the brakes are corroded to fuck and the tax has ran out.

I recall someone seeing a cossie in a similar situation and someone managed to claim it via the dvla

Anyone know how i would go about trying to claim it?

get in contact with the dvla,

apply for the documents, the dvla wil then get in contact with the last known keeper, if there is no reply within a certain timescale the documents are sent to you, therefor u now own the car

get someone who can change the locks/ignition barrell and you're away

If its parked in a puplic place & out of tax you can claim for the log book from the dvla.

I wouldnt though, what happens when Mr McMadman gets released from Jail & finds you driving his car?

theres a wank old mk3 astra abandoned near the house of one of our clients, its a maroon 5 door with the worst scratched 17s on, 4 flat tyres, the driver's side window is open about an inch so that side of the car is now soaking inside. its been there for a good year but as its on private land nobody seems to want to do anything with it. if anyone wants i suggest you go get it, the doors are open details via u2u
