they were put off by the £58m asking price apparently

More chance of Cannavaro going back to Inter - and there's fuck all chance of that happening!
I like Newcastle, but linking thmeselves with the Cannavaro's and Ronadiniho's of this world just destroys whatever credability that they have accrued!

How does going for Cannavaro destroy their credibility

They have limitless potential as a football team, going for a 33 year old unwanted at Madrid is not so far fetched. He is still a quality player right enough, 1 of the best centre backs of his generation
