hi i know replacing the cat with a de cat pipe will make my car very loud and probably wont pass the MOT. so i dont want one because of the noise.

found this sports catalyst by janspeed and i says it will pass the mot, will it still improve performance?? will it still be loud??

A de-cat won't make your car loud. Depends if it has a built in silencer.

Janspeed do one with a silencer.

A sports catalyst still has the catalyser in the pipe to lower the emissions. But, it has less DPI than a standard one. This enables gases to flow quicker. (i'm sure thats correct)

Yep. If it's a straight piece of tube, it's a stright through jobbie. If it's fat it's got a silencer.

I removed the cat on my old engine, and it sounded a lot louder.

Look inside a CAT and you'll realise why it will sounded louder.
