Any had one, Got one? what they do mpg wise, reliable or not?

and he's had it 2+ years, and put about 40k on it, alternator died, at 111000, but to be fair, after that kind of mileage you would expect things to start breaking

ive got the astra van version and its lovely and the mpg is outstanding quite quick aswell

i used to drive a 5 door 1.7 corsa...mpg was great £10 a week and drive the nation lol...they can be a little nippy too it u ragg the crap out of them...reliable id say we have had to replace brakes and shoes and stuff but thats general service work and that...

my sister now drives it ...just getting upto 110k brought it with about 90k on in december 2005... i passed my test in it and my sister learned in it too...they very gud work horses...but if uve been a petrol head wudnt buy on of these to replace it

its for doin a 60= mile round trip to work and back i need mpg, not performance

not as nippy as the 1.5td according to the specs tho... I get 300miles out of £30 ragging most of it in the 1.5td. I get more when I don't rag it (obviously lol)

doesnt matter there work horses so u wont find a low mileage one for cheapish

true... mines nearly 120k but it runs sweet, well it should do the amount of time its been garaged recently lol, new clutch, 4 new tyres, new oil sump, new tracking ball joint, airbag ecu went last week but fingers crossed it should so up until 160k fault free for the cam belt change.
I think thats down to dishonest people selling me it... but it does work hard for me.... diesels go forever if u look after them!

dead simple engines too, only about 3 electrical things on them. my alternator died last week but took me half an hour to put a new one on it today, most reliable car ive ever had, goes and goes and goes without any major mechanical fault (alernator is the only problem i have had in 40,000 miles of driving
