every time i clean my car i can't seem to get little bits of dirt off but when i polish it, the bit's come off easily and gives a much nicer finish.

the car is white so it shows up everything

what would be the best non abrasive polish to use without fear it's thinning the paint work? i use autoglym at the moment but someone said that it's a little abrasive an excessive use may result in thinning paintwork.

picture of said car (frozen white):

Dont polish regulary, any polish will ruin paint over a certain amount of time!
Just use a good wax. If you use it after every wash, you should in theory never have to polish your car again. But i tend clay bar and polish mines every 7-8 weeks.

recommend a clay treatment, then a good polish then a sealant then a good couple of layers of a good wax

What i have used previously are

Meguires Quick Clay
Then Meguires 3 stage Paint cleaner and polish
Then Autogylm Extra Gloss Protection to seal
And Finished with Meguires Carnuba Wax.

Once you have done that you should only need to wax or detail spray once or twice a month

i clay barred it a week ago with my mate, took a few hours

surely there must be a simpler way of getting the crap off and having that just polished look?
