i just wanted a proper one, as i've just had my room refurbed and to have some gash wall mount holding my bravia 3 foot from the wall, it wouldn't be ideal

TBH mine is from Comet, not sure on the brand, and it's perfect for my R74. It definately looks better on the wall, just sits there floating

I don't understand how companys can charge these things. I design these for computer monitors and the most expensive one we do costs around £65 which is a fully adjustable arm that bolts down onto a desk with a VESA mount on it.

Just because it has not got a brand name on it does not mean other wall mounts are not proper. As long as they are rated for the weight of screen you have they will be fine. Most screens that fall off I bet are down to poor fixings to the wall rather than the wall mount failing.

Sony don't make wall mounts - they will just get one of the many companies in the far east that turn out most of them on the market and then will put their sticker on it.

The only sort of mount thats its worth spending money on are ones that have all sort of movement built into them - definitley not a fixed one like that
