I am in the process of swapping my x14xe for a x16xe...the fly wheels are different will the clutch fit? cause the friction plate just spins inside? or should I swap the flywheels over? is that ok?

Or get a clutch pressure plate to the x16.

Isn't the x16xe pot type? So using the x14xe flywheel and pressure plate would be lighter?
by about 2.5kg i think

Is it indeed.
Depends if that weight saving bothers you.

The flywheels?
Use new bolts and threadlock.
I fitted a flat fly to my x16xe, but i dont know if its worth the swap as i never drove the car when it had a pot fly fitted, lol.

they are stretch bolts and should not be re-used.

-Flywheel spinning at 6000rpm, weakened bolts.
-They break, flywheel parts from the crank
-At best it flys forwards and destroys the front end of your car(as in cuts through the crossmember/bonnet/slam etc etc)
-As worse it flys the other way and destroys your passengers

£8.
Not much considering what damage it may cause if "it" happens
