On the a127 last night i was sitting at 80 and went past a mobile camera.what speed do you think the car would have actualy been doing as dials are probaly out.hopefuly i'll be ok.ive got 16's.

If you work out the rolling radius/circumference of your 16" versus your standard 13/14 i think you'll usually find that they increase your speed as they have a larger circumference, not a smaller one!

Its alright saying you have 16's but what tyre profile are you running?
It also depends on how the Police were feeling, they could do you for 71mph if they so wished.
Is the A127 single or dual carriageway?
Chances are you'll be alright, I would imagine they would have come after you.

 i was going a bit faster than the national speed limit there yesterday but i thought they need to have reflective back's on them? otherwise they aren't legal? you said they were black?

stop scaring me i was stuck behind a galaxy doing about 80mph in the fast lane so not sure if i got caught.
might take a drive up there later just to see where they are

Your speedo will be reading 2.1% too slow, so at '80' you'd be doing 81.68mph, assuming your speedo was spot on with standard tyres, which it wouldn't have been.

Either way, there's not much you can do if you've been caught, so there's no point worrying about it, just pay more attention for cameras in the future on that road.
