pics below x14xe wire harness so I've been told the car has had a new engine? don't know the year of engine so I took some pics

the wire harness from the 'ecu' has two pins at the bottom as shown :-

the one am pointing at has the pin to plug in?



then the other half the injector plugs etc... has not got the bit to plug in:




So i've got a next other half of the wire harness with the plug to fit mine and i was wondering if this will make any difference, does anyone know what its for?

this is the new one below:



any info please peps?

the car is running a bit funny atm so am guessing this has something to do with it

yip car is running,driving etc etc just a bit lumpy though out the revs and the EML is on

will this be my problem?

Have you modded your engine at all or is it 100% standard?

When was it last serviced?

exhaust(back box) rest is 100%

its had an engine changed lately I've changed sensors,pipes....

this is the only thing we've came across that's not matching up

the 'EML' light does not come on on start up only when i try put foot down a little bit it will be a bit lumpie thought out revs

It just might not be needed. It could be for AC or something like that. Pre wired.

Sounds like a vaccum hose. Do you have a thing on your bulkhead that has a plug connected to it and a black pipe to it?

When that pipe was missing on mine it did the same. I think it has something to do with your timing.

the car hasn't got 'AC' and the engine that got put in didn't have 'AC' so i'm guessing the one am missing is to go to a sensor are pipe etc ?

its just had a belt done 200k miles ago so timing is ok i would have thought

I'm guessing a trip to V Sport is in plain next

I'm guessing its an newer are older engine been put in and my 'ECU' isn't matching must have something to do with it?

In that case, pull out the plug for the temp sensor next to the stat and then put it back in. I knocked that and had problems. But then it wouldn't start......

200k miles ago.......?

its been on the computer and 'Dave A' says all that came up on the test was sensors near the water tank (cannot remember the name of that one?) < but we changed that one and it made no difference at all

and the knock sensor came up put ive been told the car has to be running for the knock sensor to come up??

the new engine has only done 200 miles since the belt been changed and belt got done when the engine got changed

starts up 1st time every time the car as well if that would make any difference to timing

extra wire is the shroud wire from the 2 pin knock sensor found on later (1997>smallblocks.
