Didn't know where to post this.

Does any body know if there is suck a thing a s a remote control spotlight.

What I want is a spotlight outside my house, I dont want a PIR on cause there are too many cats, pedestrians etc. and it would look like a disco.

What I am needing is a light that I can turn on via a fob on a keyring that turns the ight on for 30 seconds.

Does this exist?

i have made i similar thing for my dad in his back garden. He has a key fob with four buttons on it, they work like this:

button 1: turns on the lights round the outside of house
button 2: turns on the lights on the shed and steps
button 3: turns on the decorative lights for the pond
button 4: turns on a flood to illuminate the whole back garden.

a second press of any button turns it off.

It is an rf system so it works inside or out from the front or back of the house.

I dare say there is a remote control light on the market these days but there wasn't at the time i made this one.

You could wire a floodlight up to a remote control light switch that you can get from b&q but they only work on infra-red so you need line of sight.
