hello all I am trying to find out what the name is of the steel beam that goes behind the front plastic grill but in front of the radiator. joins both sides of front of car just below headlights. it is for a 1997 breeze, petrol, 8valve. looked in haynes cant find it. & trying to explain what it is to get new one is a farce regards Dave

Bumper bar is the long one behind the bumper
The one with the gaps for headlights is the slam panel.

on second thoughts dont think it is as the slam panel has the bonnet catch to slam against. this is below the slam panel, about four inches below it & is like an I section beam. but not near he ground where the bumper bar is.
