rite the time as come for me to change my engine its a 1.4 sport at the mo but whats the adds/disad of a 1.6 i.e power troqe... and the ads/diads of a redtop? my m8 has got a 1.6 in his corsa now and has done a lot of stuff (corsaphil_666)and i think that his goes like stink but then is it better to go the redtop way?(i dnt want to kill myself lol)

but people say that with an xe in the corsa it don't handle that well and i like to av handling over top end?any elles view on the handling of a xe in the corsa?

depends what kind of power your after. a 1.6 with some nice little things done to it will obviously be lighter than a 2.0.

I went from a 1.6 to a 2.0. The handling isn't too bad. You can tell you've got a bit more weight on the front end, but it's hardly unstable. At any speed.

With the right set-up a 2ltr Corsa handles brilliantly. Me and Willay know that.

Agree with Pickford,

And with the xe its the extra accelerationa s well as topd end, and it will give quite a few standard cars a good run for their money

1600 is the way to go iv done that an its very easy to tune

1.6s are easy to tune up to about 140 bhp and then your looking at silly money to get it to to the power of a 2ltr and its not got the tourqe. i know 1.6s can be made quick but for a lot of power on the cheap a 2.0 is the best to stick in.
