can i have a detailed fitting guide for a clutch on a 1999 x14xe please??
bought a valeo clutch and just need details for fitting.

Go buy a haynes manual. Far easier than trying to work out what people are telling you over tinternet.

kk will do, is it a hard job because apparently you have to take out the gearbox and everything to get to the clutch on the x14xe

depends on if the clutch is a standard or pot type,and id do the release bearing to.I dont think the standard clutch is too hard just fiddly with the input shaft and getting it to release from the clutch and friction plate.Pot type is a bitch as ive been told the gearbox needs to be dropped out and possibly the engine too!

aparently there is a small cover on the clutch housing underneath so you can inspect the clutch.

its a box off job, the x14xe doesnt have a inspection plate far as I can remember

nope, if its fitted with an f15 it wont have an inspection cover.
IIRC there only on the f13.

front arb off, shafts out...(dangle them) gbox mount off....box off.
easy.
