Fans aren't happy with being forced to purchase Cup tickets and last nights performance has further angered them. Apparantley it was the Glazers and not the club themselves that introduced this scheme. Its said it was the Glazers that structured the price of CL Semi Final tickets too.

Its now going to go through the county courts.

How do you work that one out?

FA Cup
Champions League

Do they still run the scheme for those competitions though?

Did they only do it for the carling cup because they were afraid attendances would be down where as the FA Cup and CHamps league are more likely to sell anyway.

So as you are out of the carling cup and assuming they were only running the scheme for that comp, this is how I worked it out.

Yes. Its the cup scheme, not the Carling Cup scheme.

Doesn't affect me as I'm not a season ticket holder.

Just dont understand this really.

Liverpool have the same scheme, but its optional and thats how it should be at United.

I can only guess they wanted the guranantee of the numbers who will fill the ground so can easily ensure revenues. Seems stupid though as surely OT would be filled even if this wasnt enforced.

my mate is a season ticket holder, and we go to all the cup games anyway so it doesnt make a diff to us

but it would just be nice to have a choice say we cant make it

it should be optional, and it is not as if we dont nearly fill it anyway, we had nearly 70k in to watch fucking barnet
