Totally disagree.

When dad first got the M3, he used Sainsbursy Super Unleaded. It would occasionally pink (i.e. jerk forward unexpectedly and such) and just not perform right.

He took a mechanic out and naturally, it didn't happen BUT he asked what fuel he was using. Dad said and the mechanic said to use Shell VPower. He has since, and the car is performing better than ever and has no problems.

Granted, I didn't see any benefit with my 12v, but high performance cars yes.

i had to use v-power, ecu was programmed to use higher octane petrol. car ran shite on anthing other that opti/v-power. we dont get 99 ron tesco fuel up here sadly
