No, there different.
1300s use a smaller clutch/fly

Will a 1.6 8v fly fit a 1.6 16v engine so as to use the flat type clutch?

Yep.

jolly good i have a nova gte engine shoved in the distant corner of the workshop hopefully it will have a flywheel on it!
