pretty much in the ethernet plug theres backup wires, if you cut one it uses the other people on the servers connection to boost yours causing them lag, you can do it by not having the plug all the way in aswell

i heard about cutting the orange wire or something in ethernet cables to make you lag really bad, but never about causing others to lag?
