1995 Vauxhall Corsa GSI 2.0L 16v (20xej)
Originally bought the car in October 2003 and then converted to current engine in the summer of 2004 by a friend mechanic using an M-Tech fitting kit supplied by PVD.
Engine has recently been rebuilt by CMA (http://www.cmachester.co.uk/), gearbox stripped and checked and a new battery fitted. After an oil relief valve had stuck closed the car went back in and was checked over resulting in a new crank being fitted. Engine will need running in again but does still have 6 months remaining of the workshop guarantee.
Spec:
- ABS brakes
- Power steering
- V6 calipers, discs and pads
- Fully adjustable AVO coiler over suspension lowered approximately 30-40mm
- 17 inch Team Dymamics Pro-Race wheel with 2 brand new tyres covered approximately 1000 miles
- All new belts, oil and filters
- JVC head-unit
- Infinity 6x9 speakers fitted into the parcel shelf
- PVD foam air filter (could do with being replaced)
Bad bit:
Due to buying new a new car ive lost the will to get her back on the road so she needs a new power steering pipe fitting as the original one has split, so at the moment i have taken the power steering belt to make it okay to drive.
The side skirt jacking point covers were stolen, i have 4 brand new unsprayed jobbies which can be fitted.
Since recieving the car back from the engine shop both MOT and tax have expired (currently SORN).
Small spot on the bonnet needs respraying, although has been touched up a little (using the wrong scratch paint) to prevent any massive rust build up.
Milage:
Car has covered just 47,000 miles
Engine had covered 1000 miles since rebuild and has since covered 0 miles since crank replacement.
