Ask fella to confirm his address

if he sends a message and says the UK address and that matches the address on paypal then go ahead!

thing is if it is a rip off, paypal will just screw you over, advise you will only post to paypal address or you wont post see what he says if his response seems genuine post to a different address.

you can usually tell if its a scam from the vibe of the messages they send.

ITS A SCAM.

Buyer uses hijacked account and pays with stolen paypal account.

You send phone to france, owner of stolen account contacts paypal and they take the funds off of you (you've already sent phone)

Paypal WONT help you because you didnt send to the registered address.

This happened to my cousin last week after selling a £400 phone.

I bet he has sent you about 3 messages already to "remind" you to send the phone to france has he??

Is the address on the Paypal account confirmed?

Paypal are useless for sellers, I sold an Ipod last xmas for £110, transferred money to my account and then sent Ipod.
Paypal emailed saying that the transaction was fraudulent and debited my Paypal account with the £110....when I asked them about it they told me it was in T&C's which you have to agree to when setting account up.

Personally I wouldn't send the phone cos Paypal will screw you over and you will lose out

Do people sending these 400 quid phones to france not think that legit french people might just use french sellers?

Do not send the phone!!! Unless they are using a verified email account.

I've had this problem and had debt collectors after me because of it. paypal would not help even though i proved to them i sent the phone.

Be very very careful!

Yes if you send to registered address thats fine but normally whoever has hijacked the account has an english address but claims to be in France and wants the phone posted to a different address. If you do this PAYPAL will not help you.
