Well when i thought things couldnt get any worse they have

My timing belt sumhow snapped the other day Tryed a new belt on just incase, but the exhaust cam was locked

so started stripping the head to see wat damage had been done and how many bent valves i had

Only to find there was a small bolt wedged in at the exhaust cam causing it to lock the cam and snap the belt not only has it bent the valves but it has also cracked one of the cam shafts

Its not a pretty site

Looks like one off the bolts that hold the splash pan on the rocker cover came loose and fell out

Looks like the best option will be to try sorce another head with cams and replace the whole thing

If the pistons have kissed the valves then it may be cheaper to get another engine dropped in!

lovely, the red tops generally will bend all exhaust an its a bit hit an miss to how many inlets you do. Iys very very rare that the pistons are damaged beyond use.
