Say if a car sold for £4500, how much would the listing fee be?

Need this info as ammo for trying to get someone to sell privately rather than sell through ebay. IE the higher the bid on ebay the greater the charges

Listing fee would be around £9 for a decent add with pics.

Then the final selling fee is £16 I think.

For vehicles up to £1,999, the fee is fixed at £15, which, added to the listing fee, makes £21 in total. For vehicles between £2,000 and £3,999, the final listing fee is 0.75 per cent of the total value – between £15 and £30.

Sales for more than £4,000 are charged at a flat rate of £30, which makes your total listing fee £36, providing you don’t go too silly with your listing options such as extra images, highlighted listings and other things to get your advert noticed. Adding a ‘Buy it Now’ facility adds 25p to your listing, while going for a pretty background from the Listing Designer adds 7p.

Don't be silly, some people sell Vauxhalls on there. If the fee was that high they'd be out of pocket.

I sold my old car on eBay and it cost me about £20-odd with the fees - only sold it for just over £500 though.
